Frequently Asked Questions
Can I pick custom colors for my floor?
Yes! We have a full catalog of thousands of color blends to choose from. If you can imagine it, we can make it happen.
Is the finished floor slippery?
Our flake and topcoat system creates a surface that looks smooth and shiny but actually has a natural texture for grip. For extra traction—especially in areas that may get wet—we can add a non-skid additive during installation.
How long does installation take?
Most projects up to about 2,200 sq. ft. are finished in just two days. We stock common colors and materials so we can usually schedule your installation within 1–2 weeks of consultation.
How do I clean an epoxy floor?
Epoxy and polyaspartic floors are low-maintenance and stain-resistant. For routine cleaning, use a microfiber mop or soft-bristle broom to remove dust and debris. A mild cleaner (like Simple Green or a few drops of dish soap) with warm water works best—avoid harsh acids or abrasive cleaners. For rinsing, a squeegee makes it easy to push water out.
Is the finish durable and easy to maintain?
Yes. Our base coat epoxy penetrates deep into the concrete for maximum adhesion, and the polyaspartic clear coat creates a tough, glossy finish. It’s resistant to chemicals, abrasion, UV rays, and water. Maintenance is simple—just sweep and mop occasionally to keep it looking new.
Can I install a floor myself?
Technically, yes—but it’s not recommended. Professional results require industrial grinders, vacuums, moisture testing, and high-quality materials that aren’t sold in big-box stores. A DIY job often takes an entire weekend and risks peeling or bubbling later. Hiring a pro saves time, avoids costly mistakes, and ensures a flawless, long-lasting finish.
What's the installation process?
We grind the concrete surface for maximum adhesion, roll on the epoxy base coat, and broadcast flakes for full coverage. After curing overnight, we clean up excess flake, smooth the surface, and apply the clear topcoat. By 12 hours, you can walk on it; by 72, you can drive on it.
How much does an epoxy floor cost?
Pricing depends on the size of your space, the system you choose, and the amount of prep work needed. Most residential garages fall within a set price range, and we provide a detailed estimate after your free consultation.
Will epoxy cover cracks and stains in my concrete?
Yes. During prep, we repair cracks, chips, and surface damage so your floor has a smooth, even finish. Keep in mind, concrete naturally expands and contracts with temperature changes, so some repaired cracks may return over time. Stains are ground away or treated before coating, ensuring they don’t bleed through the new surface.
